Robert Doisneau was born
on April 14, 1912 in Gentilly, France in the suburbs of Paris. He is famous for
his humanity photography and street photography, by wandering through the
streets of Paris shooting at a very young age. At the age of 13 he became very
interested in art and began taking courses at a craft school where he came in
contact with various different types of arts. His focus was in life-drawing and
still-life, particularly he photographed intimate "kissing" pictures, eventually he professionally started photographing in 1934, 5 years
afterwards he then gain a lot more interest in photography. In 1939, after
working for a photographer, he decided to work independently specifically
working on photojournalism. After serving his time in the French army, he then
started working with Vogue for 3 years then decided to focus on freelance
photography. Doisneau photography has left an imprint on his fans, he liked to
practice his skills in photography with great intuition rather than with the
idea of science involved with it.
Above is one of the photographs which Doisneau is known for "kissin" pictures of couples, He captures individuals as he passes by, more like he captures his photos at the right moment. In this photograph the woman shows lack of interest of the man, but the wine in the glasses indicates the scenario of her refusing to acknowledge the man appearance. Her facial expression says her everything.
there's a rule of third and leading lines indicated in this photograph and the scattered children crossing from one end to another.
